Considering how harsh I've been on Family Gay, you might expect me to be almost or just as harsh on this episode, but to be frank, I don't think it's anywhere close to that level. Don't get me wrong, it's definitely a bad episode, but it's not worth getting offended over. The episode begins with Brian telling Peter and Lois that he's going out of town for a few days to attend some kind of seminar. This is a contrivance to get him out of the picture for the start of the episode. Once Brian's gone, Quagmire tells the Griffins that his dad, who is a navy hero, is coming to town. Peter and Joe meet him in Quagmire's house, and see him acting as a stereotypical flamboyant gay man. Peter and Joe text each other about this right in front of Quagmire's dad. Peter later tells Quagmire that his dad is gay, and Quagmire is initially skeptical. Ok, for all the flak adult cartoons get, particularly ones from the 2000s, some of them are geniunely well written shows, and not just by the apparently low low standards of comedies. There are several adult cartoons I plan on reviewing, even disqualifing anime. (And anime are Japanese cartoons, so a proper discussion of adult animation should at least acknowledge anime, especially in our increasingly global market.) However, not all adult cartoons will be getting positive reviews. Today I'm getting one of the bad ones out of the way. I've been a fan of Adult Swim since 2011, but they've been rather disappointing so far this decade. While Zaslav's meddling ass is definitely a big problem, Adult Swim was losing sight of their roots even before the Discovery merger. Case in point is 2021. Outside of Toonami, Adult Swim debuted two new shows, Birdgirl and Teenage Euthanasia, both half hour shows that feel far too mainstream for Adult Swim. Enter already covered the latter, so we're doing

You know how a small number of people have complained that the movie rating PG now means "practically G"? I don't think I've said this before, but I am definitely one of those people. I know a lot of people complain about ratings creep, but those people have it backwards, at least with the MPA's movie ratings system. Whether or not ratings creep applies to television largely depends on the network, as TV ratings are determined by the individual network rather than by an arm of the government, which is exactly what the MPA is. You see, the MPA was originally established in 1968 to replace the Hayes Code, which was an ultra-strict set of rules of censorship imposed upon movies by the government. It was designed to make movies be as inoffensive as possible, yet many of its rules would be seen as far right today, and not just by idiots like harriana hook who think everything is racist and/or sexist. For one thing, interracial relationships were completely off-limits, and police officers

Thanks for the faves, I appreciate it! :D

You're welcome!

Ok, I understand you don’t like Codename: KND, and love Billy and Mandy, so I’m wondering: what do you think of the crossover?

I've not seen it.

Thanks for the fav! :)

So, i understand you hate spongebob, which is what prompted me to ask: are there any good episodes of the show in your eyes?

Chocolate With Nuts and Friend or Foe.
